“Hi Matteo,
Our vacation to Italy was perfecto! We cannot think of anything that we would do differently except spend more time there!
Here are some of the details that worked especially well for us…
Our trip was very well organized and we did the most we could. Just about the time mom’s feet started hurting, the tour was ending or siesta was about to start or the shops were closing. This was very important to me as we needed to work around her abilities.
We all really appreciated having private drivers. It took a great deal of pressure off us. As each day passed, we realized how important it was to have this help. Also, driving in Italy is a skill that I will never master. I can’t believe I even asked about scooters! Additionally, they were all very professional, knowledgeable, helpful and it was fun trying to communicate with them. They made every effort to speak English, and Mom’s Italian got better and better as the days passed!
Our tour guides were very good too. Valentina even told us where we could find a chair for mom in the Vatican…too bad the guard had to stand for a while!
Spending time in Sciacca was very important to mom, and it turned out to be everything she hoped. The path to the sea was tricky but we took mom down the steps very slowly. It was a windy day too but it was all worth it! Ignazio and his staff at the agency were also very helpful.
Our accommodations were very good. Hotel 47 was in a good location as well as having a great staff.
Matteo, I am so glad we ‘found’ you. You were easy to work with, understood what we wanted and designed the best trip for us.
Thanks so much as we have such great memories. I hope to process through the pictures soon and will forward a few.
Warmest regards,
Irene”
