First off, thank you all so much for the wonderful trip you planned for my son and me. We loved it all, and will forever carry with us memories of our special time in Italy together….
I appreciated the efforts your staff made to help with the whole airport strike situation. If they had not notified us at the moment our flights were cancelled we likely would still be in Italy. British Air didn’t let us know until 2 hours AFTER they cancelled the flights. One bit of feedback though – the woman helping me find alternate flights was using something like expedia (maybe it is your travel agent software?) and suggesting I ask for codeshare flights with BA. (like one leg on ITA and one leg on BA). BA could not book me on any of the flights she was recommending. My son found the flight we ended up taking on a google travel search (using filters for only British air), so that is how we found the flight from Zurich to London and London to seattle. The live BA agent on the phone was able to rebook us on that flight. Thank God b/c I needed to get home to care for my 7 year old. The BA online system was only offering up flights out on TUE (today). Unfortunately, our last 24 hours in Italy was super stressful for me dealing with all of this, but that is not a reflection of your company, just the situation.
I also appreciated the help booking restaurants on our trip.
The app where I could reference the schedule at any time was super helpful for both of us…
Using What’s app to chat with your staff was very convenient and made me feel safe travelling in a foreign country. Since I knew I could chat with anyone about issues I faced.
