Apologies for the delayed response. Our trip was fantastic and we really appreciate your planning assistance and your being so responsive with questions during our visit. All of the tours and accommodations were outstanding. The tour guides were all great. The guide who took us on the Path of the Gods was especially terrific – he even welcomed us into his small farm for fresh squeezed lemon juice as we took a break mid mountain!! We also thoroughly enjoyed the Vespa tour in Rome, which we would not have considered without your recommendation. It was a wonderful way to see much of the City when we had limited time available. Your hotel recommendation in Positano was outstanding – a great way to celebrate our 25th anniversary after leaving our two sons behind! The timing for Rome to Pompeii as you correctly pointed out was tight but it ended up working out fine in spite of the late train and we would not have done anything different. The apartment in Florence was much more than we required for such a short overnight visit and I likely would have stayed in the hotel option had we known the logistics required to meet up with the apartment owner only at specific times – that was the only issue we had and it was minor. The owner was lovely and very flexible but in hindsight a hotel might have been easier.
